I am planning to get a refurbished freezer for my restaurant.. is that a good idea! Does anyone have experience in buying a refurbished freezer?
Please suggest.

Most likely it's sound but, is there any maintenance history associated with what and how was refurbished?
The four most common freezer problem-causes are, failing or failed compressor, failing door gaskets, broken thermostat, and/or defrost cycle failure.
If you're buying from a reputable source, then it's highly likely that all of these have been checked. But still, do your due diligence prior to purchase.
Many of the problem-causes can be fixed by yourself using YouTube. I've only ever needed a repairman to replace a compressor.
