missing the benefit of 7 days of energy storage.
allows you to subtract how much you would have spent on a generator instead of the powerwall. altho a given home may not need a generator.
theres a niche setting somewhere that the 7 day storage could make it an attractive bargain... if the reason for the power outages was unrelated to something like a hurricane where you may be paying for repairs.

$100? Good lord. Mine was $432 last month and I have FPL which have really good rates. If one were so inclined, you could sell energy back to the grid. Alternately, you could recharge your EV if you had one to make it pay off faster.
I would submit to you that Tesla will ultimately be an energy company more than a car company. This is like religion, though. Very few rational conversations are had about it. As long as everyone has the right to choose what they want to do, that’s all I care about.
