Skenes was tearing the cover off the ball to start the fall but cooled off considerably. Jones was perhaps the top option by the end of fall. There will be a lot of competition in the spring at DH. Travinski, Jobert, Beloso, Frey are other considerations.
I believe Thompson and Milazzo will start the year but they are not written down in ink.

It’s just nice to know we are loaded. Plenty of options for any situation.
The main focus at this point needs to be on uniform choices

Biggest ? I have with Skenes at the plate is if he can consistently hit the top level pitching. We know he has the power and that isn't anything to worry about. If he can hit .280 with the power he showed that will be just fine. In the fall he was definitely a boom or bust kind of hitter it seems. 8 hits total and 5 were homers.
I agree with the Thompson and Milazzo comment. They will likely be the starters opening day and the jobs will be theirs to lose. Neal and Travinski will get some time with Milazzo though behind the plate. I think that is a good thing to be able to keep them all fresh throughout the year and once you get to peak SEC play, you can take advantage of who is playing best.
