As long as people believe that elections are democrats VS republicans, they won't be able to understand what is really going on. A better way to look at this, is to visualize them as pro-establishment VS anti-establishment, then things begin to make sense.
That is why somebody like kemp is allowed to win, while other candidates that represent a potential threat are obstructed to the max.
