I am laughing my butt off. Dad wanted me to get a .22 rifle but instead I got a .22 cal Sheridan back in the mid 60's. I knew that I could only use the rifle if he was there but he thought it was just a slightly better than a BB gun.
Shot a rabbit in the arse the first evening and brought it home. Next day a fox squirrel in a front yard oak for which I caught the wrath of mom for killing one of HER squirrels. She would throw a few whole pecans behind the kitchen to watch HER squirrels play while she washed dishes.
