It really suck you get pumped for the season and you have the weapons to put together a playoff run and then from there it's anybody's game ie. Giants. But No! injuries all season long, players suspended, can't close games, what's next? VERY CLOSE TO GIVING UP! and just become a casual NFL fan we get let down every year.

Last year coupled with this year have been really hard on me as a Saints fan.

It's tough, tough, tough. If we had lost that Chargers game I'd have been done until next season.

Let me guess been a fan since 06'?? This is nothing new for the Saints and to say I'm just gonna become a casual fan is disgraceful..I'm in it for the long haul or until those SOB's give me a heartache and I'm buried in a Drew Brees jersey. Piss off douche and be a casual fan.

It's been like that for 20 some odd years, except for 2006.

The Saints organization simply does not do everything in its power to put a good product on the field, and that alienates a lot of people. I've watched every game possible for the last 20 years, but for much of the 1990's and this decade, I haven't really "cared" as much as I wish I did.

Couple that with the fact that the basketball team next door has the worst owner in the NBA and still manages to be one of the NBA's elite teams, and it's easy for my attention to be diverted.

oh yeah...well some people say cucumbers taste better pickled...I thought we were talking about you being a band wagon fan because you're ready to jump because of some set backs. If you have a been a fan since the 80's(whatever) this should be buisness as usual. So and have great day.

I think all long term Saints fans have some kind of weird love-hate relationship with them. You hate them for being incompetent perennial losers and want them punished. You love them because they're your team, and don't tolerate "outsiders" dissing them. Yes, they're a sorry assed team, but they're MY sorry assed team. So lay off.

I hear ya...what would you do different if you were the owner?

Why do you think Shinn is the worst owner?

Team ownership and management has a lot to due with the pro teams I follow. It's not the only reason I like cetain teams but I like teams where the owner will do whatever it takes to win championships.

I think its funny how after 30 years the Saints still suck. I have been a Saints fan since b/4 most of you were drinking from your mom’s teat. Anything better then 8-8 is a bonus every year. The Saints have never been able to judge talent. Drew Brees is the first QB in team history that deserves to start in the NFL. That tells you right there that who ever is in charge of player personal should be washing cars w/all the Mexicans. Not one player in the HoF. They have a probowl player about once every three or four years and wind up loosing them to FA the next year. Hire a guy like the big tuna to turn things around and watch the Saints get respect.

You know if we won a Superbowl,..i think it would need some time to sink in.

What get's me is the real fans of the past, family that are not with us anymore..friends..who will never get to see it.

For me the Saints are more than just a Football team, i grew up watching them with my family. As long as i can remember there has been Saints talk every year.

To me, the fleur de lis is Family..And We Are New Orleans.

I've always compared it to dating a super model. New Orleans is an average/above average guy and there are only 32 super models in the world and we are dating one. Sure she treats us like shite and threatens to leave us if we don't give her more money, but if we break up with her we will never get to date another super model.

I always like them to win, but I hate 8-8. Not good enough for the playoffs, but too good for a good draft pick. I'm a boom or bust guy. Sell out and go 13-3 or 3-13. At least 3-13 gets you excited for the draft.
