2:14 - 2:17 of video. I know I’ll get downvoted, even though I wish the call of lsu possession had held up, but that was the correct call with current rules.
Alabama touched the ball while out of bounds before LSU ever maintained control. Control was never maintained before the ball eventually hit the ground out of LSU hands. Rule sucks. Similarly in a kickoff, if the ball comes to rest at the 1 yard line but receiving team can get to it in time to put one part of the body out of bounds and touch the ball, it’s automatically flagged a kick out of bounds and ball is brought to the 35 yard line. That rule sucks too…depending on what side your own.
