I really believe this is not normal. I've raised a gaggle of kids and this only happened a few times and never was a pattern. He could actually be in pain somewhere. First thing I would do he have his ears checked. And describe how he is to the doc.

At 3.5 my daughter became the most delightful person on earth. Charming, hilarious and sweet. She still has her moments at almost 4, but for the most part she's well behaved and the most popular person in the room no matter where she goes.

My 16 month old on the other hand went from being a laidback baby to a total whinebox that wants to be held CONSTANTLY.

Next year is gonna be rough.
