MSU takes anyone with a pulse too.
They have taken in a lot of players were were cancers in other P5 lockerrooms and thus were told to look elsewhere or were buried on the depth chart.
That is an insane strategy.
You’d think that a guy like Tucker who coached under both Saban and Smart would be a dedicated dynamite recruiter.
The portal is a good tool to supplement your roster and fill gaps but to be wholly reliant on it is absurd.

They have 10 four stars committed so HHTM's comment about Tucker ignoring recruiting and only using the portal is not entirely true.
He does take seemingly anyone from the portal however.
