yes 100%. the best example of this is Bama-Ole Miss from last year, but basically when you are an underdog and don't feel like you can stop the other teams offense being super aggressive on 4th down both increases your chance of victory but also dramatically increases the likelihood of a blowout if you don't convert. combine that with the early special teams turnovers and you have a recipe for a 40-13 game that, if coached differently, could've easily been 31-17 or some shite.
