hmmm - I have read all of Michener's books and loved them all - somehow this story has escaped my memory. Will have to dig that one out and re-read - thanx.
My fundamental takeaway from that book was the opening about 'terrains' - first time I had heard that word - plate tectonics was fairly new theory when that was written.
