Check out the folks at Fusion Implant Center in Prairieville. It's run by a local Oral Surgery group and they have an in-house prosthodontist. They do implant supported dentures all day every day. I don't know what their prices are compared to what was offered you, but I know they are trying to be affordable (though it is still expensive) and offer financing options to provide a good service for the community.
