I'll never understand why a business would want to make a political stand. If I'm running a big company I'm operating like Switzerland. Democrat and Republican money is green.
Same. So many companies have felt compelled the last 3+ years to tweet what their stance is on various shite that nobody was wanting to know.
"Coke wants you to know that it supports George Floyd!"
"Tide would like to announce a new detergent for Pro-choice families!"
Just stfu, nobody was at home wondering what their generic household brands thought about the political flavor of the day. It's hard to imagine that many CEOs are so tone-deaf.
I've always felt the same way about stand-up comics hitting partisan issues too hard. First, most of that shite isn't that funny, or it's low-hanging fruit that every late night show beats to death. Second, you immediately alienate half your audience...and then go back to my first point when the remaining audience members barely even chuckle. It's suicide.
