re: No wonder many elite coaches don’t want to coach at LSU

It isn't the record but the level of play on several teams.
It doesn't take much football knowledge to be able to project that our approach to offensive football isn't going to win anything in the SEC. that might beat the military schools most years, and the scrubs of the sun belt conference, but not in the SEC.
Many on this board can actually see this and project it into the future and that is their concern...not that LSU is necessarily going to have a losing record this year. Greatness was not expected at all to most, but sound football was. For any that can project, and understand the ramifications of the incompetence being demonstrated by the coaching staff, the future does not look promising...thus the desire for change.

There is much to commend your position. ST, why hire Denbroke, and why in the heckfire go out of your way to bring in JD5. Either way, we will find out whether BK is a great coach or not.
