We were much improved the back half of the season.

We finished the season ranked 227th in fielding %...

Everyone and their mom knows we'll hit home runs. We have studs all over that can hit - that has never been an issue with a johnson coached team

His fielding and defense has been an issue and isn't anecdotal. It's followed him consistently.

2017 Arizona: 156th (.968)
2017 LSU: 14th (.980)

2018 Arizona: 52nd (.975)
2018 LSU: 16th (.979)

2019 Arizona: 232nd (.962)
2019 LSU: 40th (.977)

2020 Arizona: 220th (.958)
2020 LSU: 31st (.979)

2021 Arizona: 159th (.967)
2021 LSU: 72nd (.973)

2022 LSU: 227th

It should be on any lsu baseball fans mind how defensive will be this season - it shouldn't be an excuse for Johnson anymore given his history.

You're still not getting what ProjectP is saying. You're killing an awesome thread wher Scuba brought the goods, buzzkill. Johnson might have just put together one of the most talented rosters college baseball has seen in quite some time and you're obsessing over the fielding percentages.

Magician has the same exact paragraph with stats ready to be copied and pasted at any moment in any thread. He gets off talking about fielding %
