It sucks that JD is not a confident passer because he has all the tools to be incredibly dangerous. His speed is elite, and manages to break off 10+ yd runs even when everyone knows he’s about to take off. I don’t expect him to just become a heisman contender mid-season, but being a little more risky/confident with his throwing could go a long way for him.

Our defense is good enough to handle one or two turnovers. He’s got to start taking chances throwing it.

I do wonder if CBK and the staff have told him that turning the ball over isn't the end of the world. On the other hand, look what happened when Auburn turned the ball over - cost them a win.

I agree. I'm curious to see how BK handles him the rest of the season. I think Saturday will be a big tell for the remaining 7 games.

Do the coaches change the offense to cover up for the lack luster QB play? Because that would likely mean relying more on a running game to limit the opponent's possessions. The run was good last week, and we know how Daniels feels more comfortable running.

Or do they double down and keep with the balanced run/pass play calls? This would likely mean more mistakes and frustration but in theory would pay off in the long run by giving your QB more experience and reps. Although nobody knows if Daniels will actually develop given more time.

never a Bill Parcels fan but he used to tell his qbs that if they didn't get the occasional interception they weren't being aggressive enough

He’s right. Certain interceptions are worse than others, but is a pick thirty yards down field on a 3rd down after taking a shot really that big of a deal?

I don’t think so.
