A few months back, I hired a guy from Frankfort Ky. to drive my wife and I around. We could do any combo of 4 in a day. These included distilleries, wineries or horse farm. Started at 8-9 ended at 5-6 I believe.
We took 1 tour of how bourbon is made, then the rest was just tasting. More or less it's all made the same. Favorite Buffalo Trace and Woodford Reserve. We went to BT on our own because spots are booked months in advance. They do allow walk-ins if there was a cancelation that day. If you do walk-in don't be bothered by the long line most are there to buy the special Bourbon of the day.
Favorite horse farm was Claiborne, it was a fun few hours and skip wineries. He's allowed to go to another horse farm and have his clients touch and pet the horses with no supervision which is kinda neat. If you are interested in contacting him leave a way for me to contact you.
