Does sling also know, the more they raise their rates, people will move on?


dish dug in, lost certain channels, and people find other ways to get them. some stay, some leave.

cable and satellite had their chance years ago to stand up to the shite channels and channel providers.

No one wants 99% of the channels on their service, but are forced to take the on, because 99.999% of channels are owned by 3-4 companies. (espn/disney, NBC, CBS, Discovery,etc).

They have, twice recently, when this contract dispute went down and I lost espn/sec, that was last straw. Out like a fat kid in dodgeball, canceled yesterday. In every business there is elasticity in pricing and a limit where consumers will move to other options. Unless they figure this out quickly without an large price increase they need to brace to lose market share.
