I thought in fishing tournaments you had to turn the fish in alive?

I saw a longer version of the vid that showed more of the weigh in process.

The cheaters were the last to be weighed. The highest weight at that point was 18lbs. These dudes weighed in at 33 lbs just egregious.

No doubt they’d been cheating for a while and flew too close to the sun.

I know nothing about fishing tournaments,, But from what I am reading here today is that there is a lot of cheating.. Wouldn't you think they would have metal detectors by now? How else could they make the fish weigh more?

It’s different with Walleye bc they are coming out of water around 70 feet deep this time of year. Many of them don’t make it to the scales alive so they typically have a program where they donate the meat to local food banks and homeless shelters.
