We need to just go back to the BCS system.
While I hate mega playoffs, I do recognize that there are OFTEN years where you legitimately have more than 2 teams that can lay equal claim to being in teh hunt for a national title. Even if it's only 3, that's still more than 2. I think 4 is perfect and wouldn't have an issue with using the BCS and just taking 4 teams instead of 2.

hat’s when football was the best.
People think it was the best becuase there was parity all over the place. Just off the top of my head, in the BCS era you had Ohio state, FSU, UT, UF, Miami, VT, OU, Texas, LSU, USC, Kansas, WVU, Missouri, bama, UGA, Ok State, and I'm sure there's more that had teams in the top 3/4 late in teh season taht all had a strong case to be champs.
Fast forward to now. It's bama, clemson, and ohio state with a rotating group of oklahoma, uga, lsu making some noise as well. It's just boring when you have so few teams dominating every year. IF we still had the bcs now, people would be even MORE upset because you'd just have a bama vs ohio state title game every year. The committe isn't the problem, the lack of parity is. Unfortuantely that's not an easy fix.
