Several threads on Spain on the board FYI.

Quick take: Normally, I'd say spend most of your time in the Basque Autonomous Community and tour San Sebastian, Bilbao. Maybe hire a car and drive up to the Picos. Beautiful, green (compared to the "arid look" much of Spain has).

With that much time, I'd say just base in Barcelona and enjoy an amazing City. Don't try to rush around the country try to see a lot. Not enough time.

Consider doing a couple of day trips. We didn't end up getting to do it, but tops on the list would be "Girona – the Medieval Backdrop for Game of Thrones"!

Several other great day trips. Full disclosure: We spend 3 days in Barcelona and never ended up doing any of them. But did a ton of research on them!

do you have a particular channel you like, or a specific phrase you search for?

That sounds interesting I'd like to check some out as well

We've found LifeStyle Hal to have some of the best travel video series on YouTube. Watch them frequently.

Slightly random: Does anybody have a Pyrenees mountain town recommendation? Extra points if it's towards the Western end of the country.
