I think God is saying
“hey, if you want (sin)I’ll allow you to have it. But if you want me instead you’ll have to give that up. Your choice, baw.”

Yeah I kinda agree, certain folks have conniptions about “thou shalt not” but the alternative is much worse, and yet we aren’t allowed the currency of absolutes

its always so and in ways few cop to.
its not just women choosing lesbian sex at a time when the 12 tribes were a thing.
it's anything you choose instead of following the instructions. love your neighbor. love your neighbor as you love yourself. maybe people don't love themselves.

Elsewhere the Word says that He will send strong delusion so that people will believe a lie.
It also talks about people having consciences seared with a hot iron.
An angry God is at least still interested enough in you to show He cares and wants you to change.
A God who walks away leaving you to yourself ... I don't even want to think about that ...
