You agree that he decided to completely change his stance and throw his support behind a rapist who attacked a police officer with a knife (historical facts).
Drew Brees has significant influence. He was presented with this “issue” in a heated and polarizing political climate. He could have easily stood on his own principals and made an actual impact in this world. Instead he decided that winning more fricking games of a meaningless sport is more important.

Literally, money is the driving factor here, man. For Brees, it had to do more with his legacy and keeping the team together. Keeping the team together meant more winning. More winning meant more money in ownership's pocket.
You can consider it to be whatever makes you happy, but what he did doesn't mean shite to anyone but you blue balled bastards just angry as all get out cause your wives stopped putting out.
