Some good bars along St Emmanuel. Try Pitch 25 or Little Woodrow’s Eado. About 5-6 blocks from MMP

Not sure if there is a true "LSU bar" around there but plenty of fans all over. I would say something in EADO. Woodrows would be fine. If you are looking to eat as well try COBOS.
