People are more desensitized.
As a lifelong fan that graduated over thirty years ago, I no longer live/die with LSU athletics. I have learned to take it for what it is worth as entertainment. The emotional investment just isn’t the same. A lot has changed with college athletics and LSU since 2019 to lessen my enthusiasm.
I watched the entire game Saturday, wanted LSU to win and followed the game posting during and after. This program was in shambles in January 2022. Coach Kelly, like him or not, has a lot of work to do in rebuilding the talent and culture of the program. That takes time. This isn’t a 15-0 team. Most reasonable fans understand that fact.

The people that are being unreasonable are either whiny bitches that wanted a different hire, mostly the Napier-baters, or O die hards that are too stupid to realize that the only reason things are going to be so difficult this year is because of O’s near total destruction of the program.

I got exhausted from wanting Les Miles fired after the 2005 Tennessee loss. But I digress…
I think the Texas Bowl disaster was so abysmal, I was just happy we were able to field a football team under Kelly.
I certainly was not happy with the play calling, the special teams play, the O line not blocking well, and the shear lack of tackling on the Defensive side.
But … even I know when you gotta let someone do their damn job and shut the hell up.
Miles inherited a plug n play football team. Kelly has not. He’s had to rebuild everything from the ground up and to lose by 1 with all of our deficiencies that were made painfully aware by the other team, I’ll let him have a pass.
I’m too tired to hate a coach anymore. That hate was too long and consumed too much of my energy. Not doing it anymore.

It has calmed down quickly but Sunday night, the Scoreboard was full retard after the second offensive possession.
