I know very little about them… is he old enough/big enough to handle a 450?
How much experience does he have with a 4wheeler? My oldest will be 13 in November and I would trust him on a 450 as that's what he has always used. He is 5'11" 200lb and plays guard and nose tackle on the football team.
Growing up I had a 90 which I could ride a wheelie on for a mile or on two wheels on the side. 3 wheelers were the greatest invention ever for a kid but not a parent. Then I had a Honda Recon and could have definitely killed myself on that as well. All that to say is that the lighter vehicles can be just as much as more fun as the larger ones and easier to handle for youths.
