My oldest daughter took one class from a local college in the summer to satisfy the requirement of her program. The fees for this three hour course in the summer were over $300. They included a technology fee, a student union fee, an activity fee and a stem fee. Make that make sense. She then had to rent her book from the school for an extra $75.
