What kind of car is it? My wife’s explorer does the same. Mostly when it’s really hot.

I can tell you exactly what it is. You had an alcoholic beverage in your car and left it there overnight. It’s happened to me scores of times. It only lasts a few seconds. It’s alcohol. The alcohol breaks down and forms vinegar just like a bad bottle of wine.
