Edwin watts in BR can only regrip, do minor repairs, lie angle adjustments, etc.
They can only do so much due to the way the repair room was set up and OSHA regulations regarding ventilation.
Their club repair guy does it “on the side”.
So, to an extent, I understand exactly what he was saying. To make it worth his time, he would have to charge a re-shaft fee. More than likely more than anyone would want to pay, and more than he thought was fair.
I know the guy, he takes on a lot of work, and would not turn down work just for the heck of it…

thats a lot of maintenance to just change ferrules, IMO
