I didn't eat it. It was about 200 feet from my real chanty patch, which is really sparse this year so I haven't picked any. I just wanted to pick this big bastard and bring it home to see if it really was a giant world record.
Also, I do have another patch of jackolanterns by the house but they don't tend to pop up for another few weeks so I wasn't immediately tipped off to this one being a jack because it seems too early.

Also, I have eaten jackolantern before by mistake, man years ago, it didn't make me sick. But, I didn't eat a whole plate of them either. I think I a couple of spoonfuls.
