Probably Ruth's Filet in BR. At that time, it was the best steak I'd ever had. But I was pretty young.
Like you, I don't see the point in ordering a steak at a restaurant any more since I can cook them just the way I like them at home. Also I know I'll most likely be disappointed while paying out the arse for something I don't like.

Ruth Chris in BR is still that place and consistently the best around and best in the chain of Chris’ locations.

I am now in that camp - haven't had a really good steak in over a decade.
