Advice on new clubs for teen

My 14 yr old boy started playing golf this year. I am not a golfer. I bought him the the largest set of Wilson Profiles, thinking that would last a while (it did not). His instructor says he now needs larger clubs. We tried out some mens clubs at academy and they are a bit large for him (he is 5'5"). Should I just go with the mens and let him grow into them? Also, should I just bite the bullet now, and go with top end clubs, and proper fitting? He really likes golf, and wants to try out for the hs golf team in the future. Thanks

Buy him a set of calloways off of Calloway Preowned .com.
At 5’5 if can use regular loft/lie mens clubs regular flex most likely. He’ll grow into them and keep up the lessons with his instructor.

He is kind of that gray area. If he is a bigger kid, adult clubs should be ok choked down on. Check with his instructor and make sure larger clubs are not affecting his motion in a negative way. If they are, stick with a US Kids set (Tour Series) or Ladies set. They are inexpensive enough and will make the game way more enjoyable for him.

Look at the Ping Prodi G set for kids . I believe they re-shaft them as they grow..
US Kids are also great. My 14yr old daughter is currently using them. Only issue is I bought her the ultralight series and now after a year of lessons and playing the length is still good.. the shaft flex is off now.. her swing has gotten too strong.. so I'm kinda in the same boat.. but my daughter probably won't get a whole lot taller.. so I can justify getting her a fitted set.. your boy will certainly grow taller..
