I put one on my wife's x5, most difficult part was undoing the bumper clips which aren't visible so I had to reach underneath and figure out how to detach them, took me a while to figure it out without breaking them.

other than that it wasn't too hard, but I have done a good bit of car repair stuff on my own, so a novice might not want to try it.
