LOL at people in this thread acting like winning a billion dollars is a bad thing. The taxes, the constant pleading for handouts from family and friends, the loss of privacy. Oh the horror. That’s what the money is for.

Seriously - imagine taking half of it and doing good for this world. Unlike most of the elite that have nothing but infinite greed, you could do some great stuff to help the world.

I don't think anyone is necessarily saying it's a "bad thing" but it certainly creates a number of quandaries for ordinary people.
Would you know what to immediately do with $1 billion that falls in your lap for which you could be sure will keep it safe? I'm not sure I do.
Would you have anyone YOU COULD TRUST who would? I would suggest this is probably the biggest hurdle. I probably know a person or two who could at least point me in the right direction, but shite, I'd still be wary and jumpy as hell about who I'm trusting.
