re: Do you feel sorry for bums on the street?

I know I'm supposed to care, but I have ZERO sympathy for people who choose to drink and/or drugs themselves into a stupor each and every day.

I gladly help those in a tough situation, but when the person really doesn't want help then I'm out.

May sound cold, but I prefer to put my money and effort into something that will actually help. Giving so much as a penny to a homeless junkie is a wasted penny.
