Yeah, definitely could be the rod type. I haven't had a need to try cajun at the medium or light level yet, the falcons have held up so well.

Most all rod manufacturers have rods that can fish light finesse baits. Just wanted to mention that Cajun Customs makes a line that is good for light baits as well. I'm not really brand loyal (I used to be) and have rods from multiple manufacturers now. They all are good for what I use them for. Currently have a mix of Shimano, Falcon, Cajun Customs, G Loomis, Okuma, and FTU

FWIW the oldest rod I still use is a Falcon Coastal and it's been a gem. I still use it often for wadefishing. 6'6" Coastal Series original version circa 2004sh.
