My expensive bourbon ($35 
) i'll usually drink it over ice and let it sit for a minute for the ice to melt a bit.
My cheaper, Old Charter, Jim Beam, etc., I fill up a big ol cup with ice, couple shots of bourbon, water, splash of sprite on top to give a little fizz.
Depends on the occasion. Second option is usually my longer drinking day type of drink.
