I am not a math expert but his best demographics in the Democrat voting base are women and African Americans but both groups where he is polling the 30’s and blacks in the 60’s. How would one have a 71% approval rating by Democrats when his two most loyal groups are well below 71%?

Because not all African-Americans and women vote for Democrats.
Of the African-Americans and women who are Democrats, 71% of approve of him. This is a much smaller group than all women/African-Americans.
