Maybe LSU has guys higher on up on their list and aren't showing as much love as other shcools. Or maybe they don't think they'll play early.

We like to have the best in the country but sometimes people change their minds. Neither of these kids were Louisiana kids, so they may not have had the deep commitment that most Louisiana men feel when they can do something really great here at home. These guys were good guys, but they just fell into the recruiting thing of catch and release. They like being courted and sometimes these guys, who are all still quite young, change their minds for the strangest (personal) reasons. Don't feel worse about yourself or LSU because a kid changes his mind. We are still looking for the best men who want to play for the best program in America. Many quality recruits feel the same way.

Reports surfaced early Tuesday from the Rivals.com that FAMU high school linebacker Willie Ferrell de-committed from LSU. But Ferrell told the The Daily Reveille the report isn't true.
"I was talking to a reporter last night, and I guess he messed my words up," Ferrell said. "I told him my family wants me to think about other schools, but I said no matter what I'm still committed."
Ferrell is rated as a three-star inside linebacker by Rivals.com. The 6-foot-1, 220-pound linebacker has scholarship offers from other schools including Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, Kentucky and Ole Miss.
"I am still committed," Ferrell said. "The only thing I said was that I haven't signed the dotted line on the paper yet."
Ferrell said he planned to visit LSU this weekend for the Georgia game, but now he will come when LSU hosts Alabama on Nov. 8.
