driving/car rental in Turks/Caicos

Headed there for a few days with the family. We are debating renting a car on North/Middle Caicos. Has anyone rented a car there? Rental experience? Driving experience/tips? Any help/guidance is appreciated!

Have rented a vehicle from location near the airport which was an easy process.
Driving wasn't an issue for me. The darndest thing for me to adjust to while driving were running over those darn random speed bumps.
Get out and explore the island. Attend the weekly cookout at the park. There are good people there and never felt unsafe

Rented a house on North about 5 years ago. Also rented a suburban that we picked up on North.
Ferry over and the car was waiting for us. At the time, it was the only car to rent on the island. About a 20 year old suburban that could have died any day.
It persevered and we had a great time. Keep in mind, not much on Middle and North.

We've rented a car a couple of times at the ferry on North Caicos and driven to Middle. Great day trips. Definitely go to Mudjin Harbor on Middle to see a beautiful little beach and rock formation called Dragon's Caye.
