Oil and gas threads are awesome these days. You have a real life geo telling you facts about hydrocarbon creation, about the basin being able to actually produce US daily consumption, and a rig hand in the Permian highlighting the water disposal issues (primarily a Delaware basin issue, which is where all the prod upside is supposed to be)…and they get downvoted as frick! Then you have a buncha know nothing clowns pulling shite out of their arse that hydrocarbons are renewable, that maybe the earth was covered in oil and we’re saving her by extracting and using oil get a rain of upvotes!

Also some other poster was saying this isn’t propaganda bc the majors aren’t in the basin, Exxon focused on Guyana….Exxon is balls deep in the Permian having made a series of large acquisitions pre-2020. Conoco in the last 2 years has spent about $20B buying up Concho Resources and Shell’s Permian. Chevron straight up owns maybe a 3rd of the Delaware basin.
