When it was about “Elites”, their excesses and their callousness the show was outstanding. But it changed into this ham handed attempt to glorify a character who’s not only the personification of Elitist but portrayed as a savior. Which could’ve been an outstanding storyline but they didn’t wanna follow through with it because of outside issues. Hopefully they’ve realized how bad they’ve gone and can salvage something from it.
Thanks...
It's about evolving power, abuses of power and that whose struggle to be kings/queens of the hill? (Is everyone transhuman in the show? Or is that storyline part of the ongoing conflict?)
So just the yearly storylines are interconnected? Or continuing year by year?
Also from your overview there seem to be plot inconsistencies and confusion on which direction(s) the writers have gone (one major antagonist).
Can the show get back on track? Is the quality devolved in your opinion (even as the writers appear to maybe be stalling out on fresh ideas) and still a show worth getting into?
Again, appreciate your input.

There are a few humans left in the show but it was hinted that they would soon die out which is kind of open ended. The storylines are connected linearly and all the characters have history with one another. The inconsistencies stem from the plot being totally redirected and the constant role reversals of the characters and that leaves these big holes in the story and the motivations of the characters. I think the reset is an attempt to get the show back on track. From what I’ve read there’s been some shakeup with bosses at HBO so there’s hope for it just based on its story’s potential, strong actors and characters. I’ve been on the fence about bailing but every time a new season starts they seem to have good ideas but haven’t been able to follow through during the seasons. It wants to be a really good to great show, certain people in charge just need to get out of its way.
