Took my first flying lesson today, it was awesome.
Congrats! That’s a huge first step. At which airport are you taking your lessons?
I don’t remember the number, but there is a considerable percentage of student pilots who never finish. If I could offer any advice it would be to find the right instructor, take your time, don’t worry about the money, and enjoy the ride!
I had three different instructors for my private, and got so frustrated that I wanted to quite a few times. Honestly, the only thing that kept me in it was that I bought the training plane (PA-28-160) from my first instructor after he got called up to ATP. It was a great idea and worked out well for me, but otherwise I likely would have never finished.

Thanks, I’m pumped about it, been working towards this for a minute.
I’m taking lessons in the small airport in my old hometown, Winnsboro.
My instructor is top notch. Former Air Force hurricane pilot, c130 instructor, accident investigator. He is great. I hope to progress as much as possible and make a living as a pilot. I’m 40 FYI.
