Does anyone here have a Tremor or 3/4 ton gasser that prefers it over the diesel? I mean other than towing and extra costs of maintenance, I hear people talking about if you don't drive the diesel fairly often and far, it leads to engine issues (which I honestly have no idea if that is true or not).

They make all different type of trucks for a reason.
Some benefit more from a gas truck while others benefit more from a diesel truck.
They go regen sometimes if you do not run them enough.
Here a good description of a regen.
A forced regen occurs when soot builds up inside the diesel particulate filter (DPF) to the point that the vehicle is no longer operable. When this happens, a driver has to pull over and initiate a self-cleaning process that can take up to 40 minutes — valuable time that could have been spent on the road.

You won't find any people who have gone from a diesel to a gas and prefer the gas performance. Gas wins financially and off road. Diesel wins everywhere else. Just so happens that the financial part is a pretty significant part.
