If anyone wants to know what an Idol is, it's not just a statue or image. It's ANYTHING you place above the Lord. Spending all your time on your phone instead of listening in Church... IDOL. Anything you do that you place over the importance of God creates Idols in your life. Jesus said the most important commandment is to love God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. If you don't want to go to church because you are playing video games, or doing this or that, or decide not to pray like you normally would because you prefer doing something earthly, you are creating an Idol. We all do it. We are all sinners, which is why we needed Jesus.
