She’s a little stiff, but she’s not terrible. And a lot of the comments are just straight up racist trash and don’t even mention her performance on the show. I saw one Twitter thread that was mostly about how she doesn’t belong in Star Wars, as if there aren’t already a ton of ethnic actors working in them.

The "ebonics in Star Wars" was spot on. Did she come from the planet Compton? Terrible choice by her. If a black woman makes that choice, no way can a white director say anything. . .could be a career ender.
