If you are talking electrical engineers or software engineers, it's the norm. They move around to project to project and they are in demand.
Also in terms of loyalty. It flows both ways. If corporate America wants them to stay,they have to reward them or they will seek other places. There was a neighbors kid who is an electrical engineer apply for a job in the New Orleans area for a position. The best offer he got down here was 95,000.00. Interviewed with a defense contractor up in Raleigh and was offered 140,000.00 with a government clearance. So guess where he went?
