Agreed. Blaming this person is ridiculous
This person sabotaged the security system and cost a 19 children and 2 teachers their lives. Will be haunted by it the rest of their life.

A lot of schools have started going the way of doors that you have to fob or scan a badge to get into to prevent this kind of issue. And has a sensor when a door is propped open. I’m curious as to why this school system had not utilized that?
The teacher had propped the door open, which I’ve definitely seen teachers (and other staff) do before we had our fob/badge system installed. It was my understanding from what I read from the press conference that the same teacher ran for a phone in another classroom to call 9-1-1. My guess is in their panic hearing the shots they failed to go back to close the door.
It’s an incredibly poor mistake that I feel like anyone in that situation could’ve easily made. And they’ll have to live with that guilt the rest of their lives. That’s enough punishment for me.

That's a ridiculous stance. She was supposed to know that there was an armed madman outside in an area that was otherwise generally safe? They probably did that relatively frequently.
If you live in a relatively safe neighborhood and left the back door unlocked and your wife got murdered while you were at the store are you to blame?
Some of you have lost your ability to think rationally over this imo.
