To those of you talking about Jordan Jefferson playing...

I saw a thread on here yesterday concerning Jordan Jefferson's playing status. I was like many of you at the beginning of the season saying that Jordan should be behind Jarrett Lee. As the season is progressing, I don't believe that thought anymore. After thinking about it, Jordan does not have any experience (except for the 2-3 snaps in North Texas game and the snap in the Miss State game). Therefore, he nervous out of his mind when he comes to take a snap or two for the first time. If you cannot tell already, that is also Jarrett Lee's problem. Like for the game at Flordia, anyone who watched that game could tell he was nervous the first few drives, which lead to that horrible incomplete pass he threw in the first drive and almost interception in the next(and he did throw one INT I believe in the first half). After the next couple of drives, he was fine and completing passes. The reason why Andrew Hatch is behind Lee is because HE IS ALWAYS READY TO PLAY, physically and MENTALLY (for the most part). The first plays at Auburn and for the first time he was ready to play at Flordia, he was mentally ready and prepared; that is why he is playing over Jordan Jefferson.
Jordan Jefferson still has a lot of learning to do on the offense because you have to remember he came to the campus in August. Will he be a good quarterback? Without a doubt in my mind I'm sure he will be. However, as of right now, Lee is gaining experience and by the end of the season I think he will be a very different quarterback because of his gain of experience. So what was the point of this? The point is if Jordan took more snaps, he would be in the same mental prepareness problem as Jarret Lee, which leads to miscues, interceptions, and other mistakes. What I mean by mentally prepared is not being nervous for the most part and being focused in the game to make good decisions. This ability to become mentally ready for a game only comes with experience.

You dont know that for sure. Some people handle pressure better than others. He might be the kind of guy that thrives off of pressure. We will never know until he plays a large role in the offense !!

He might be, but at this point in time we cannot gamble with that.

My apologies for the length of the topic. I just wanted to get the complete idea or thought out.

The average defensive rank that JLee has played is 20. The average defensive rank of the last 4 teams Tyrelle Pryor has played is 68. Can't really compare.
I would love to see how TP would do in the SEC.

For a guy with only one post...you sure have a lot to say.
To answer the QB question yes Lee is still learning but I also think he is the best QB for us at this time.
I do like Hatch simply due to the fact he seems to be much smarter (at this time) in running the "O"...but right now who the hell knows.
Us fans only see one small portion of these kids growth I'm sure "The Hat" knows what he has and how to progress with them.

TP and JJ still had to learn a new offense, practice against competition (in fact TP was against a fifth year senior that was in the NC game last year), adjust to college play, manage a team, deal with being in a pressure situations. The pressure of OSU playing Michigan compared to LSU V. Florida is not diffent. Yes talent and speed are differnt but I don't think JJ would feel more pressure then TP in that situation.
