Perhaps we should ask Yuval Harari, since he's a self-professing Jew, what the qualifiers are for verifying the TRUE Messiah?
His Jewish identity and statement that certain beliefs are formed due to this nature of solidarity of survival within humans is a self-refuting one because Judaism, in itself is a religion, with beliefs that are incompatible with other religions. So then what makes Judaism 'correct'? His arguments would hold more weight if he were a self-professing atheist or agnostic. Otherwise, as Ravi Zacharias would put it, Yuval's arguments are as solid as "having his feet firmly planted in mid-air."

Yuval Harari is not a religious Jew. It's fairly clear from his interviews and writing that he's agnostic/atheist. He tends not to self-apply labels.
The same source video makes this fairly clear starting at this point: Youtube
He talks about this for a few minutes from the linked starting point.
Here, he differentiates between two notions of God. One that questions the mystery of existence, and the other that provides concrete answers for how to live your life (e.g. dress code).
It's clear that he does not believe in any notion of God that has handed down concrete answers (the God of Jews, Christians, and Muslims, nor the Gods of Hinduism, nor any other).
